I whole heartedly approve of Shellac's new LP.
...it is not out yet.
I keep hearing different dates.
according to the touch & go website.
no promo copies.
Friday (as I mentioned in another thread):
which is the US release date. i'd imagine whoever handles T&G's distribution here is doing a june 4th date - amazon back this up - which means shops will get the stock on friday. which is the 1st!
Makes sense - I didn't know US releases came out on a Tuesday.
unless it's not out then in which case monday is an awful awful day
I may even go and learn drums with Todd Trainer to celebrate!
the intro to the album would have been the most iconic moment of recorded music if it was 30 years ago. maybe in 30 years it will be.
The whole thing leaked.
to wait for, it is this methinks. My stereo plus this on vinyl is gonna be awesome. Besides, Soulseek is queued up like a bastard.
couple of months now (got it from someone from T&G).
It's fine - it sounds like another shellac record. don't wet your pants.
anyone else noticed there's definitely a lot of moments where the drums could've done with a bit of quantizing and compression?
come across like a joke? i'm deadly serious, all the time!
one day Todd's just going to have to throw up his hands and say "Steve my man, hit me up with that click track."
i could imagine only Todd would dare, given Steve's reverence.
Its downloading now. To be fair, I always wondered if they'd match that "John Peel was a hell of a man..." version.
