I know he was great an' all, but after watching the BBC4 documentary last night, I'm pretty sure I couldn't have stomached him as a live performer.
They showed live footage, and one of them started off with him singing for about 30 seconds, then he soloed for maybe 4 or 5 minutes, then sang another 30 seconds. It was just tedious.
It just wasn't exciting to watch.
So anyway, opinions?
Would you have enjoyed seeing the maestro?
