(that's still playing, so no At The Drive-Ins or whatever.)
Mine: Lightning Bolt
Do GY!BE count?
well there you go.
Of all the bands you could pick...
I'd like to see! You answer for me then, smartiepants.
I officially change my answer. Thnx!
Once at V, where it was the get-back-together-tour and they were AMAZING, so so good.
I then saw them a year later at Leeds and they were shite. :(
just wasn't worth it!
steven seagal's thunder box
Thunder Box it is
(wanted to see them loads for more than a year now, but everytime they play i can't go!)
and Holy Fuck
and LCD Soundsystem
and Foals (same deal as battles - they never seem to play when i can actually go and see them!)
and The Knife
and The Fall of Troy
and Blood Brothers
and Queens of the Stone Age
and The Faint
and Of Montreal
thats a lot of my favourite bands that i haven't seen yet.(although i will hopefully have seen about 4 of those within the next month or so!)
come on then guys! tour already!
the other week @ 100 Club
:) Twas genius!!!
to the 100 club thing!
and qotsa are doing wireless. The 40 quid price tag is worth it for their live show alone. Three times, and every time I've been wowed.
i think i'll wait and see if they start giving them away again!
plus im seeing BB in july in Exeter probably. will be amazing (really small venue!)
Also Massive Attack, from what I've heard are awesome live.
are superb live, catch when you can.
Caught them at wireless last year on what was supposed to be an off day. Well, I can't imagine what they'd be like on top form if that was their 'off day'
I'm not sure if Horace Andy and Martina Topley-Bird are still touring with them but when they do it's incredible.
Almost went to the shows last year, but wanted to leave it till the new material was actually released.
Roll on LP7
ill-fated early 90s deodarant.
and the aracde fire.
oh wait - in town next week. Gonna need bigger and better dreams...
But that will all change due to them playing ATP!
and the Baron Knights.
as this year i'm going to be seeing asobi seksu, AIH, slint, bjork & beastie boys, plus have seen nick cave, bright eyes & bis.
wolf parade would definitely be up there, maybe aphex twin.
they have, but not a huge amount over here i dont think, they clashed with my exams :(
They played the Spitz in 2003 but I had exams. Rubbish.
I've missed him each time he came in Paris...
I hate myself !
they are on HIATUS. they will be back. see also - godspeed.
the flaming lips
are awesome live in the last couple of years. The new album is extraordinary. I think they are better now than they ever have been.
and Lightning Bolt.
Minus The Bear
'mon Sunday when I get too!
built to spill - wanted to see them for ages, i should get the tix for next week's show :D
okkervil river - play shows other than atp damnit!
alice in chains - still gutted about not getting tix last year.
want to see Gowns.
arcade fire or
the white stripes
They're ok, they aren't lifechanging though.
Hmm, I dunno, something like Gang of Four? That would be cool.
I hope one day Xiu Xiu will get their shit together and come to the UK!
Have always wanted to see them, but know I never will now because of my aversion to enormodomes.
Do Desaparecidos count?
Um. That's all for now...
and grizzly bear but i'm seeing them tomorrow, woop!
and silver MT.Zion
I'm pretty good at seeing bands I like. I'll be seeing Pumpkins and Nine Inch Nails at Leeds, so they don't count. Same with Sonic Youth and Beastie Boys (hopefully) this summer.
i wouldnt mind seeing Neil Young again, i wasnt paying attention when he was on at roskilde
on tonights evidence, are rubbish, so don't worry too much about that one.
But im seeing them next week, so yay.
i still haven't seen rolo tomassi
times new viking
do make say think (roll on friday!!!)
best band in the world
Band of Horses
Iron & Wine
I'm quite lucky in that I've seen most of my favourite bands. Most of them at ATP 2 last year in fact.
band of horsey playing next week! this reminds me - my morning jacket, just because every time i'm about to see them they cancel/postpone the shows.
something involving a Black Flag member just because
something involving a good Flying Nun Records band member just because
Les Rallizes Denudes
UK TOUR ALREADY YOU COCKSNIFFERS
Crazy Horse (with Neil of course!)
Super Furries (!)
Super Furries at Southampton Guildhall in 2001 is one of the greatest gigs i've ever been to. i know! In the Guildhall!
Of montreal are really special live been trying to promote them in Brighton for a long time
I'd really like to see Band of Horses whom I've never seen, I'd also like to see point juncture WA as i love their record.
you're Mr. Gigman. Same with Super Furries!
I second Leatherface. Even though they are from this very town I have never seen them.
they're playing live this summer so hopefully I'll get to see them.
aren't anything without Darren Emerson. They're gone.
but I still hold out hope for them live.
Jimmy Eat World
Wilco (ON FUCKING SATURDAY!!!)
capacity venue, before futures were released. Happiest day of my life.
Modest Mouse (seeing them next week though)
Patrick Wolf (Reading)
Dinosaur JR (Reading)
Smashing Pumpkins (Reading)
Spank Rock (Reading apparently)
The Go! Team
LCD Soundsystem (Reading)
The Shins (Reading)

Converge (seeing them in July finally)
YCNI:M (seeing them in June)
Circle Takes the Square
Gallows (maybe seeing them soon too)
Minus the bear
and quite a lot more!
Wouldn't mind seeing Glassjaw myself, that's if Daryl manages to stay in the country long enough without the dreaded illness getting to him.
Brand New are utterly brilliant live.
Aye, they have a new album soon though dont they?
Doesnt he just get the shits but obviosuly in a more serious way?
According to wikipedia it will be relased sometime this year.
He has Crohn's disease, pretty bad.
Sonic Youth (not for long..)
Infact, only 3 of my artists rated 10 that are possible to see haven't been. One is Sonic Youth, who I'll be seeing soon, and I should catch The Veils sometime. Yaaay.
half the ATP vs the fans line up
Bjork, Sonic Youth (Although I'm going to the Don't look back show in August so I'll soon be able to cross that one off) Arcade Fire, Boris, Sunn O))), Mogwai (ATP YAY!)...Oh bloody loads.
Les Savy Fav
Band Of Horses
I haven't seen them yet, I can't tell you how big they are. I hope Tall Firs are massive though.
The Thermals: SEEN (x3)
Tall Firs : SEEN (x1)
Les Savy Fav: SEEN (x6)
Band Of Horses: SEEN (x2)
Subtle: still waiting
Bjork x a million
Even though I saw them when they were only ikkle, supporting some pisspoor Melody Maker flavour of the month.
My Bloody Valentine
but i have ticket :D
My Bloody Valentine
The Horrors (seeing em next week!)
I bet I (and a lot of these users) have probably seen most of the ones they wanted to by now
Thee Oh Sees
The Fresh & Onlys
The White Fence
The Assemble Head in Sunburst Sound
They were insane. The two drummers were brilliant.
Missed them last year and have been kicking myself since.
M83, but getting that one sorted tomorrow.
Stupidly went to see them a few years ago in a different city from the one I was living in, and neglected to take into account the ridiculously early finishing trains. As such, I caught their first two songs.
Also Arcade Fire (will never happen, bloody popularity ruining things), Justice, Basement Jaxx, Patrick Wolf, Gravy Train!!!! (if they're still going).
Gravy Train!!! split up a few years ago.
Hunx has a great bubblegum pop/garage rock side project called Hunx & His Punx though
Never thought I'd actually get to see Godspeed. Amazing.
Where are you from?
Ringo. That'd make 3 of the 4 fabs I've seen in concert (I missed out on George). Or Guided by Voices.
