September 4th, supported by Spank Rock.
On sale this Friday.
I don't care how much tickets cost I'm THERE.
it's in this week's Time Out
Thankfully, I'll be seeing them (twice) and Spank Rock at Bestival a few days later
despite the fact i'll be seeing them a few days previously, brixton!
best news EVER!
Friday 9am, they're £28 plus the usual extortionate fees
if they cost £50!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Does anyone want to come with me? I've already booked hotels...
I might be tempted to do another, seeing as Electric Picnic and Bestival are both sold out.
The Islington Academy and Shepherd's Bush Empire if you can get there at that time. I can't.
as in they're not playing there too, just the box offices are selling tickets..
at Brixton Academy about 12 years or so ago touring Ill Communication with JSBX supporting. I was looking forward to the show so much but it was disapointing because the sound at Brixton is so muddy and crappy it doesn't lend itself to their hip hop numbers particularly well. It turned out like indecipherable nasal shouting over BOOM BOOM BOOM BOOM.
guessing they've got in new equipment since 1995 =)
was there, when Hello Nasty came out. I was 13. Christ was that really 9 years ago?
Just reading what the Time Out advert says.
able to get Brixton Tickets from the Astoria box office before, only from the Islington Academy one... maybe its changed since tho'?
Is this revenge for my sarky comments in the football threads?
brixton = amg = brixton, shepherd's bush, islington academy etc
the astoria is a mean fiddler venue.
I thought they were all owned by Mean Fiddler / Clearchannel these days.
I remember buying ULU mclusky tickets from the Astoria Boxoffice so I wasn't sure if they just sold tickets for all kinds of venues.
there's a link on their website for 'presale' but it just goes to ticketmaster.ie, presumably as they copied and pasted from the Dublin date.
anyone have it?
im in NY then we have just swapped cities.grr
as also happening on the 5th & 6th, which seems pretty likely really.
since 1995. Every time I go to Brixton the sound is shit. Particularly for hip hop. I'm not confident for the Beasties either...
they're down for the roundhouse on the 6th... that could be better
that WOULD be better
roundhouse website is currently D-O-W-N
and various dodgy ticket companies come up + ents24, plus its listed on last.fm.
there's a presale link for 9am thursday. get in.
link? I can't find it.
the mailing list
Despite being on the mailing list, I've not received that link.
but when i've got tickets, yes...
Don't be ridiculous. There are only 62 people online.
Help a brother out.
i've *forgotten* that you never ever reply to my messages
all good. mad love. x
gets involved with this.
3 tix gotten, thanks v much for link.
been waiting to the see the beasties for years...
btw, just spoke to roundhouse people, they have no idea about the show yet, but chappie said just to keep an eye on website, and keep phoning...
i can't afford another £35 a ticket affair at the moment, this will have to wait :(
I've got mine. Brixton upstairs is so much better than The Roundhouse.
I hope that doesn't turn out to be foolish.
i noticed the booking fees were £2.85, which is 10% of the face value. is this a new law or something?
to not caring about the cost? LIAR
my poor bank balance
though sonic youth, beastie boys and prince within the space of 10 days ain't bad
i am now bankrupt
I'm a twat
which i believe goes on sale next week.
and roundhouse is roundthecornerfrommyhouse so i think i'll wait for that.
if i can get tix, and brixton too.
frankly as much beastie as I can get my grubbit mitts on.
