Which album should I get 1st?
you should be going to ATP though, stu.
but not got anything by them yet.
Good News... and The Lonesome Crowded West. I'm not a huge fan but I prefer Good News...
is a great start, although The Moon And Antarctica is the best
and they're both on Good News...
sold the most...
if that's not the answer you want then start at the beginning and listen to them all :)
didnt like when i first listened.
it is now one of my fave albums in the world ever.
top 15 anyway.
also love moon and antarctica.
haven't heard the new one yet. im sure i will soon.
would probably be Good News. Then get the new one, then Moon And Antarctica and Lonesome Crowded West. They're all very good but to be honest I haven't a clue which one I would call my favourite.
good news for people who love bad news
Is on Good News. So get that. Now.
I only ever seem to listen to Good News... I don't know whether that counts as a proper recommendation though.
and we'll both grow old
well i don't know
i don't know
i don't know
... i hope so
and this is this.
You tell me what you want and I'll tell you what you get.
You get away from me. You get away from me.
Collected my belongings and I left the jail.
Well thanks for the time, I needed to think a spell.
I had to think awhile. I had to think awhile.
<3 good lyrics
nice one! should be a blast!
Basically it all depends:
Most Approachable: Good News
Most Atmospheric: Moon & Antarctica
Most Lunatic/Raw: Lonesome Crowded West
My Personal Fav: Moon & Antarctica
Most Insightful to their 'Complete' sound: We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank
Album To Avoid?: Sad Sappy Sucker (its okay)
Frankly if ur going to the gig they will be mainly playing songs from We Were Dead and Good News... get both in fact it will only set u back £15
If u like ur stuff more obscure and 'Indie': Lonesome Crowded West
Though if u want a time in a show where u know most of the set check out their 2 latest albums (Good News and We Were Dead)
Can't wait for the pending EP :) apparently they arent b-sides just really good songs that didnt make the cut to keep the length down (it's still 10mins too long)
Also a worthy mention for Long Drive & Building Nothing Out Of Something, again the more obscure sound.... not too aproachable.... songs from said albums Rarley/Never get played nowa days.
I'm not a big fan of Modest Mouse and this is the only album of theirs that I really listen to, mainly because it reminds me of good times I've had (sentimental? probably). I think Good News is terrible, I find his voice really annoying on it and it's too samey and lazy. Don't mind the couple of tracks 've heard from the latest, but don't think I'll bother buying it.
I can differentiate each and every song, the first 3 or 4 types of songs on it..... not really samey though yes it can grate... still very good purchase.
But especially the new one, it's incredible.
