Inspired by hearing that nice Deerhoof song thats at the end of Apple-O on a Robinsons advert yesterday, put any moral/ethical problems you may harbour with bands using their art to sell products to one side for a moment and think of other examples of adverts using really good music.
Here's a few I could think of:
Aphex Twin - not sure what song (BMW advert. Or was it Boards Of Canada?)
Velvet Underground - Venus In Furs (car ad from the 90's?)
Iggy Pop - The Passenger (car ad)
Lamb Of God - Now You've Got Something To Die For (Freeserve ad! Also, not necessarily a good song but its a catchy riff for a few seconds..)
The Only Ones - Another Girl, Another Planet (some mobile phone ad)
