You know I could probably write 500 words on shoelaces, and sometimes I feel like that's about how well my threads go over. But we all can't have mr martbowski's flair for the dramatic.

So it's Mother's Day and I'm trying to think of a clever way to intro 'songs for mom' but the problem is rock 'n roll has woefully left old mummy behind.

The first song that pops into my head is Icarus Line's Up Against The Wall Motherfucker, but I'm not sure that has the spirit I'm aiming for here.

The next tune that strikes me is Siouxsie's Mother. It's on the B-side of Join Hands and is basically 90 seconds of "oh, mother" before the Banshees launch into the most blistering and blasphemous version of the Lord's Prayer you'd ever want to hear. I can only hope that after I die I get a seat in hell sitting next to Siouxsie.

But I don't know. Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe you guys can think of some...
