what to do what to do....when I am nervous I can´t remember my name
Why are you famous?
about the night I am throwing in London. They want to come along as well...:)
I need a spokesperson, that´s what I need..
and why is you night of interest to them???? TV station is kinda cool and exciting no?
17th of June at the Luminaire
check check it out:)
It´s an Icelandic TV station and they want to come over to England for it.
Yes it´s cool.
...you should be loving this? no?
embracing it even.
I work in PR, I like meeting people and stuff, but with camera on my face I just panic.
...you gotta find a spokesperson me thinks....it takes a while to get used to the camera, a good director should put you at ease though....and editing is a wonderful thing...
good point:) I will be OK. I just need practice
you dont like, just stop and start over, the telly people will be trying to make you look god, or they wouldn't be filming the event.
OR get a little drunk...
booze sloves everything and nothing, enjoy yourself...
before the filming is always a good trick. We see how it goes. Maybe I get so nervous that they need to subtitle it, but don´t think it will come to that. Hope not at least!:)
The interview is an opportunity to promote good music. It is not to be used to promote yourself.
really. I don´t want to fuck it up
Because of Kolla. People who 'discover' and promote good music are just as interesting and important as people who make it.
I wished they could just interview the bands instead though. I want to be a good spokeperson for this so I will try as best I can, without putting me in the spotlight. It´s not what it´s about.
"People who 'discover' and promote good music are just as interesting and important as people who make it." Such a mad, wild, surreal and utterly bizarre statement can only ever be applied in a unique scenario; that is, John Peel.
Take a member each from a couple of bands you're putting on and have them with you in the interview.
Conduct the interview in the following way:
Field the questions you have interesting answers for and delegate the questions to the other two if they're more relevant to the bands or if you can't think of an interesting answer straight away. This way you'll give a good impression of being in control but not being a control freak.
Also, some questions will obviously be quite predictable so try and prepare some well worded responses beforehand.
Remember; Most journalists for a short piece are only looking for 3 good quotes - it shouldn't be too difficult and don't forget to smile
Well done and good luck
thank you:) this will be my small guide to tv appearance from now on:)
this is Icelandic television. Anything Icelandic promoted abroad ends up on TV.
Sheep killed a car accident ends up on the front page.
(not that I am putting my thing down:))
which would be wrong.
