did anyone go to the Luminaire show last night? If so, was it good?
gave it a 9/10 and called the best live band in the country.
ooh, I may have to go to Club Fandango tonight then.
they're also playing the windmill on friday.
I can't make tonight but tomorrow is very tempting.
that i love them.
didn't imagine they'd be as good live as the record, but they're better.
and LOUD! The singer was pretty intense though his microphone fell off the stand in the middle of what he later admitted to be an "emo moment"
i now love them too much. it was so good! and so loud! all the hatred and spite in the songs really comes across live, and their frontman is this weird mixture of sneering aloofness and tantrum-y, smashing-drumsticks-on-every-available-surface intenseness. i completely adore them.
so I may have to go to Borderline tonight then.
It's early, I'm sorry.
if you like the walkmen and arab strap and snow patrol
I like all of those bands. I may investigate.
bambam! South london scares me, I can't do it alone.
cause you can hear that they're scottish when they sing. and i don't like scottish people.
It was ok, though I didnt see what the fuss was. Maybe ill give it another listen.
same here. Im not sure what people are getting excited about. Although, I haven't been able to give them my full attention.
at the Fleche d'Or with Monsieur Lyle. Thought they showed a lot of potential. Will be interesting to hear what they're like on record
but they have potential !
the summer at home, today.
I need to listen to them a bit more though.
that they are very good indeed. Intense, compelling front man, huge sound and beautiful songs. Ridiculously loud at times too.
