BUTTONHEAD - "Buttonhead are what would happen if you put Sigur Ros, Arcade Fire, Deerhoof, The Polyphonic Spree and Architecture in Helsinki in a blender. Even then you would still need a few secret ingredients..." (Westminster News) "Amazing, super-complex drumming, spectacular... female vocals, and an amazing knack for a start-stop structure that's chalk full of hooks as well as experimental melodies that'll never get your bored nor exhausted from the shroud of mystery, detail, and intense layering." (Bibabidi)
AGASKODO TELIVEREK - meaning rearing stallions in Hungarian, consists of
Miklos "The Accountant" Kemecsi and Tamas "Karamazov" Szabo. Since the formation of The Teliverek they have gone from strength to strength, playing with DJ Rupture, DAT Politics and Lightning Bolt. Agaskodo Teliverek prefers to play in tight fitting football gear (occasionally joined on stage by an entourage of very lightly dressed burlesque dancers.) Currently the group is busy recording a new album in collaboration with no other than the Man From Uranus!
VESSELS - Experimental/post-rock band who formed in 2005, and have since played at the Leeds festival and with Mono, Jeniferever, The Appleseed Cast, iLiKETRAiNS & Youthmovies. "Dynamic post rock which stalks around your room before launching itself through a window." (Steve Lamacq)
TRANSMISSION LOW - live performance is a real strength for the band, a twisted
take on New York rock, which is both claustrophobic and captivating.
Their music takes the listener on a ride which is sometimes understated,
sometimes sinister, but always a delicious raging assault on your ears.
It's totally irresistible. This is for your own good!
ACTION BEAT - an improv noise band on the FORTISSIMO RECORDS roster in Bletchley. "We sound quite like early sonic youth (without singing), Glenn Branca, and Rhys Chatham, but we can sound like anything if we wanted to."
