whats everyones favourite? Im talking about 150 capacity. 93 ft east? good ship? brixton windmill? somewhere else?
notting hill arts centre or camden barfly, and water rats can be really good too.
I like Water Rats
is good and The Good Ship isn't from a playing perspective.
second the Notting Hill Arts Centre- really great to play. We can't mention the Windmill can we Stacey?
I've a peculiar fondness for the Buffalo Bar too.
I don't really understand the appeal of the Windmill to be honest. The people who run it are obviously quite safe, but as an overall venue...doesn't really appeal (from a viewing perspective) and I know a few people who have played there and don't like the sound. Anyway, lots of other people seem to like it, so that's good.
I think the Notting Hill Arts Centre is a really good venue. And it seems everyone who plays there enjoys it, and it sounds really good. Soundman seems like a really safe guy as well and knows how to do his job.
i think the sound in the windmill is fine and the sound in notting hill is absolute gash. but then i've not played in either...
The sound's not very good there, no.
played the Dublin Castle for the first time t'other week. Was one of the best London venues we've played I reckon.
Metro - ok, bit of a weird stage.
Nambucca - didn't like.
93 Ft East - love playing there, PA is a bit boomy.
On The Rocks - I like playing there and have enjoyed watching other bands there.
