Anyone going? D'you know what time he's on?
I missed him at ATP too.
and if anyone tells you different they's a fool.
Missed Josh but it meant I was alive and well for Saturday night...
but i'm way too tired. sorry :(
Nah, 's OK. I'm not even sure if I'm going to go - I've still got plenty of work to do, as two people are off this week - but if he's on about 10 I wouldn't mind swinging by.
But I just rented a DVD. And I'm lazy.
in the space of 24 hrs last week, to be fair.
I wish I had now.
it was quite empty and even better than ATP.
I heard you the first time.
He lost his voice and everything.
Don't be surprised if it's terrible, and you want your money back at the end.
What day was that? Maybe ATP killed him. I'm not going now, anyway. Too much to do :(
Perhaps the only truly negative review of a Josh Pearson show I have ever seen. How weird. Well he played my favorite show ever...
but fuck does he push himself. I reckon 1 in 10 shows is a bit lame, but 9 in ten are something special.
And it's up there with be one of my favourite gigs ever.
The Glasgow was just... :[[[[[[ , though.
why didn't you post this during the day :(
i just booked my ticket for the portsmouth show two days before ATP vs Fans :D
gig last night - he was on full form.
The loudest coustic beardo in the west. He did say he had lost his voice because so many people wouldn't stop talkin to him at ATP! but it sounded great to me.
I only actually found out at half seven last night that he was playing, after I followed a link to his Myspace from Jamie's blog. Oh well.
he was good, a little different than normal but I liked that it was quiter,a bootleg I have he plays the songs without the hacking away and noise and it was good to see the songs like that.
says he's playing End Of The Road in september, dont know if that was confirmed by them yet
best venue ever? lots of space but still intimate, plush furnishings an old lamp, im impressed.
didn't know about this. where IS the slaughtered lamb - is it a pub?
its about 15 seconds from my hooooose
near old street/barbican area
with a masive square room underneath with sofas and chairs everywhere
They have readings and literary events there sometimes.
