Bracing myself for shrill accusations of indie high-horsery, is anyone else as puzzled as I am as to the garlands being thrown in the direction of this album?

I've never seen such critical consensus for something which for all the world doesn't seem more than two DNA cells from The Ordinary Boys - is the line between between being cool and being a punchline really that thin?
