better than the the first album too, because it has Mu Empire and Two Tabs of Mescaline.
Although I've heard Jesus Glue (I think?) and it sounded pretty good.
Distinctly kicking my little teeny ass in a wsy I'd never really experienced before. When Tip Your Bartender kicked in: "Woah."
And the whole album still stands the test of time. Apart from Stuck Pig. But there you go.
In every way. Great record.
Essentially changed the way I approached/listened to music - opened my mind and completely blew it at the same time...
...and for that, it's in my Top 5 all-time albums. Absolute classic.
before I'd heard this all I used to listen to was Blink and The White Stripes. I found it really weird the first time I listened 'cos I'd only heard Cosmopolitan Bloodloss before.
I love the use of melody on the album, I don't know how to describe it, but there's something really distinctive going on. It's a shame that Todd left though.
I think I had only heard bits of Cosmopolitan Bloodloss prior to buying it...hadn't even heard of Glassjaw before either. I just remember thinking that it would be a strange and hard album to get into, so pretty much bought it for a challenge.
The use of melody is equal parts weird and amazing...this deep, harsh screaming counterbalanced by this melancholy singing with a background of strange, angular, dischordant guitars.....fuck, it's good.
People bang on about Relationship of Command being a 'landmark' posthardcore album, but for me, Worship and Tribute is THE groundbreaking album is this 'genre'.
(You Think You're) John Fucking Lennon:
some really good MP3 bootlegs of those two songs and also Natural Born Former from all the way back in 2005.
Favourite band, ever.
I still think EYEWTKAS is the better album.
It is a good album.
It is The ONLY Glassjaw album I own
at last someone else who sees sense!
worship & tribute > EYEWTKAS
YES! amazing album "ape dos mil" is one of my fave tunes ever. i love Daryl Palumbo
of this came on in my friends car last night. it sounded like linkin park.
that's ross robinson for you.
i do remember thinking it was quite good when it came out. might have to download it now.
mainly due to not being 12 tracks of pure raging misogyny in musical form. i love the first album, but i feel a lot less comfortable with some of the lyrics than i did about 5 years ago.
is better because it's more focussed I think, less rage, and basically there's not a weak track on it. I think EYEWTKAS definitely has a few weak tracks, although I do still love the majority of it, especially Lovebites and Razorlines.
