as far i've figured out, it's guitars made to sound like electronic music?
so nu rave.
love you really x
inappropriate excercise of excess familiarity. sorry. ;)
are battles nu-rave? i just don't know!
last year, and come from london, theyd be new rave. certainly stuff like Somebody Told Me.
battles arent nu rave cos theyre too complicated
its just a trend for the indie scene base that a few years ago was specifically into the libertines et al to go to "proper" night clubs with actual djs and remember that they liked the prodigy when they were little and dance and have a good time.
the only famous band that is actually nu rave is klaxons.
a sonic aesthetic? it's more of a historical pre-requisite?
i just thought it was dance music but with guitars, but then bands like the one in the other thread ("worst nu-rave band eva" or something) use keyboards.
Klaxons and Enter Shikari. Despite the latter sounding like a joke version of Linkin Park.
it's a pretty dirty term.
