which of these fugazi records is the best?
it's the only one I've got.
i like that tune
and went BACK W A R D S
that makes me very UNcool.
otherwise is a complete dick that has to somehow massage themselves in masturbatory one up manship.
Even the band say The Argument was the best thing they did.
It took them years to finish Epic Problem. (By the way, anyone that thinks THIS is wrong is a double double dick.)
a brilliant song! quite poppy though!!
but i really love the argument.
depending on my mood i might even say it's my favourite
every song they have written is brilliant and every album is an essential part of a decent record collection! Basically there is no best album, because they are all equally as essential.
I can't even pick a favourite, or one I listen to most / least because I love them all and listen to them all more or less equally.
as a vote for repeater shall i?
or do you have nothing by them, and are you looking to get the "best" album?
If the latter then you will have to end up getting them all so I suppose it doesn't matter all that much!
If you put a gun to my head and told me I had to pick one album, then I'd probably lump for In On The Kill Taker. But like I say...
Repeater and the Argument are probably the best starting places though.
I think Steady Diet of Nothing is best. But they're ALL pretty special.
18. I'm sure one day it will be again.
Argument is. But Killtaker is ANGRY.
I NEED TO BE MORE ANGRY
that fugazi are 'not for me'
i just don't like music like that. i can tell it's good stuff but it's not what i'm into.
i will listen to it a few more times
listen to Epic Problem, tis very different. It is the end of the band's career, completing their sound, almost perfect pop.
The Kill sounds nothing like anything on Repeater, for instance.
On that note, I'm plucking for The Argument as best for sheer tuneage and intelligence. But they're all bloody good.
theyre a band who have been going for the best part of 20 years, a band that have a lot of fans with sophisticated music tastes and who people never make comments about churning the same stuff out. see this thread. see how many different opinions there are on what their best albums are.
and unlike the fall, who similar things could be said about, they have three different lead singers.
taking one song, off their first album and judging the band off it is a shame.
i like that song and album a hell of a lot, but you really ought to get the whole of repeater - two drummers, cellos, female backing vocals, lush production, much more refined lead vocals... much more up your street
that said, ian mackaye's voice stays quite similar throught their career, so its possible that thats just too big an obstacle.
get The Argument, not "the whole of repeater"
but end hits is their best, and you should listen to that too.
the argument is the most pwl tho
cos I only like music which sounds like my own.
It's probably their most immediate song, and one of their best. If you don't like that, fair enough old chap.
Birthday Pony is quite odd.
Overall I'd have to say the Argument is the my overall fave. Full Disclosure, Ex-Spectator, Epic Problem. Ace!
Of the earlier ones it's got to be Repeater.
its pretty good. 6.7589/10
but not what youre into.
so i suggested stuff that sounds more like what you do make, which i know you listen to at least a bit.
