A long, long time ago...in a place far, far away...I went to college. (Yes, really! Geez.) And we had drinking games. We'd sit at the campus bar and drink every time someone from the Bob Newhart Show said, "Hi, Bob." Shit like that. Higher education, indeed.

Well, another game was called the Kevin Bacon game. This was around the time he was in the movie Diner (a great film, btw), a mere supporting actor at best - so the game wasn't all that easy. The object of the game was to connect any actor from movie/different actor to actor/in different movie until you reached Kevin Bacon. This must be done within 5 moves.

Get it? If not, don't worry. You will. This isn't abstract algebra.

So it's late and I could probably think of a better "kevin bacon" tomorrow, but wtf - I've chosen Steve Albini.

So I say, Courtney Love.

You might answer: CL --> Billy Corgan --> that dude from Slint --> whose first album was produced by SA.

And no, I don't remember how or why one would drink in this game. Let's say everybody drinks with every "Steve Albini".

2nd example: B-52s

Kate Pierson --> sang Candy duet with Iggy Pop --> David Bowie --> covered Pixies Cactus --> Surfer Rosa produced by *raise your glasses* Steve Albini.

(This is either gonna be one of my best threads or my very worst. Most likely the latter...but no guts no glory, eh? If by some miracle this game gets some traction by all means throw out names for your fellow DiSers to play the Steve Albini game.)
