whoever recommended it to me a month or two ago, thank you. Really really really like it.
but you should get the next 3 that come after that as well because theyre all equally ace...
Go for Before And After Science next.
but you really can't go wrong with either
(though i haven't acquired Taking Tiger Mountain yet)
This album is absolute, unadulterated genius. perhaps not my favourite eno moment, but very close.. and i love eno like i love my own mother
welcome to the fold
my band is called here come the warm jets, in honour of that :)
the song is badass though, gotta love the demented ice-cream van noises hidden deep in the mix
is pretty similar to Warm Jets. Moreso than anything else in his back catalogue anyway.
Remember... It ain't music though. Not like Quoasis.
However, Driving Me Backwards is a pretty poor song. The rest is good, but to me nothing particularly incredible.
Still found it a lot more enjoyable than Taking Tiger Mountain mind.
"Taking Tiger Mountain" is just superb. I had my doubts when people would tell me that, but after hearing it a number of times, it really seemed like he shed his Roxy Music crutch & just started cruising out. Quite satisfying. Nowadays he suffers from being around mediocrity too much.
The Fat Lady of Limbourg is one of my favourite things, not just counting music.
Taking Tiger Mountain is the best out of the post Roxy Eno rock foursome. Simply brilliant. Burning Airlines do give you so much more.
“Brian’s not at home, he’s at the North Pole but if you’d like to leave a weird noise”
