Just listened to The Great Eastern for the first time in years. It's brilliant! I miss them now...
but its amazing. What an album.

especially The Great Eastern, one of the best of the decade so far. Their Peel Sessions double album is excellent too. Very unfortunate that they're no longer around...
Emma Pollock's solo stuff is even half as good as her former band

which are both fantastic.
I saw them play on their last tour, with the dresden dolls. They were great but the whole crowd was there for the DJs afterwards (4€ gig) and were talking and drinking through the whole thing. I was sad for them.
truly special bands that don't appear very often.
Both Hate and The Great Eastern are records I love to bits and will regularly play until the day I die.
I miss them also.
The Delgados as a wedding band. Hope that's not a new career direction. Last time I saw them on stage was when some of them were Malcolm Middleton's backing back a couple of years ago. Hope they do something else soon...
I put Peloton on for the first time in ages last night, which might just edge out The Great Eastern as my favourite. It's a regret that the only time they came round here I was on holiday.
