really good on first listen.
and i like the interactive artwork, pretenious as it might be.
does the special edition merit the extra money?
realllllly don't bother.
i preordered it from the saddle creek site cos it came with a bonus CD. cost me about £8 :)
called "Susan Miller Rag". i imagine it'll probably end as a b-side over here..
I paid 15 quid for the limited version at Banquet Records; of course it's not worth it, but it's a nice enough distraction for it not to matter...
hmv here only had one kind for a tenner.
in one of them round edged boxes with a little artwork revealing card
"keep the cauliflower in the casserole"
"I’ve made love, yeah, I’ve been fucked, so what?"
so Im gonna get the viynl more worthhile. My thoughts, I don't really like the sense of resignation that seems new for him, musically 'nice' lyrically hasn't sunk in yet.
I agree, I do like it but it hasn't knocked me out yet. I keep thinking it will grow on me, the other albums did.
Also the Cd isn't £17 its a tenner but if you buy the vinyl from saddle creek it ends up about the same price, so go vinyl. Mine hasn't come in the post yet though :(
