Who's going??? I am.
but I'm too poor :(
I'll be there
What are teh timings? Staff at the venue are useless
TRAiNS are due on about 10pm... not sure about t'others though...
I'm tempted to rob my housemates penny jar and come down.
if that's reason enough
I can't afford to go anywhere. It was a small subtle appeal for someone to buy me a ticket. Which has failed. So I shall sit at home, once more, wondering why I spunked all of my cash in 'early March'.
Silver Sun etc @ Luminaire innit
they are a one-trick pony, though I have posed this question to myself before
But I'm in Paris !
New single is ace !
So's Branx, it's gonna be brilliant :)
they were very much on form.
they're the only band i feel comfortable closing my eyes and letting the music wash over me.
mind you it was sorta the same with HOTD and their splinter group were support act last night.
Was it sold out last night?
there's something happening after somewhere, I think I might take tomorrow morning off...
phoning in sick tomorrow. I'm going on holiday for two weeks after so they would have forgotten by the time I return
it was anteater (tomfrussia side project), troubles (about half of hope of the states, three guitar, two bases, no singer, no drummer) and then iLT.
beeching report was good, it's my favourite song by them by a good distance.
I'll be singing along tonight! Hell yes.
I'm gonna stand so far away from you
I'm gonna sing out of tune too, really really loud... louder than DAVE!!!!
louder than Simon :)
any good then?
they suffer to an extent from not having a singer and sound a bit sound tracky from that.
there wasn't enough psycho violin playing though.
forming a band called "The Branx"?
I'm remarkably untalented when it comes to musical instruments, mind you I don't think that should stop us... Yes, why not, I'll tell her tonight.
That was pretty fucking ace!!!
iLiKETRAiNS good as usual. Liked the new stuff.
What d'ye think of Troubles though?
not as much as I love Ian Jarrold though.
iliketrains were amazing too :-)
Maybe it was just drums, but I think they're lacking something else. And I don't mean vocals. If you're doing the post-rock thing, you need to be a bit more compelling than that. Maybe I should give them time...
they'd thought up ideas for songs and left it at that. They lacked a lot.
is what i thought when i saw them a while back. which was a shame, as i really wanted to like them.
Troubles were bad. Really bad. Completely aimless and dull.
iLiKETRAiNS were good. I like them a lot but I wish they'd develop their lyrics a bit more on certain songs. One track just repeated 'hold back the cavalry' over and over.
some simple things are the best
makes it easy for me to sing along.
I liked that song too
I didn;t know you were there! I didn't see you!?? What the hell is going on??!?!?!
otherwise we could have shared knowing glances across the venue. Next time Ian, next time.
Good gig though!
I liked the new songs, especially that one about the cavalry retreating. The lyrics were very good I thought.
that was the best.
