Rage Against The Machine - How I Could Just Kill A Man
I dunno wheter i like cypress hill or rages better, i tend to sway
i can't say they do the model better than kraftwerk. it is brilliant though.
2) its just a straight cover with better production
i prefer the Minor Threat version
jeff buckley - hallelujah
Johnny Cash - "One". I don't wanna start U2 bashing 'cos it's a bit of an obvious thing to do but I do feel Cash's intimate acoustic style fits the song much better than the stadium rock expansive-ness of the original.
...the original of "Hallelujah" is rather good by the way - that was confusingly-worded.
Obviously not heard the Razorlight version.
Cat Power's version of Satisfaction. But I think I might be in a minority here.
I Found A Reason
& quite a fe of the others on that album
Daniel Darc - les champs elysees
Caffeine - you spin me round
The Swiss Family Orbison - don't you want me
So beautiful, it sounds like it's falling apart as it's being played.
Also- Schneider TM/ KPT Michigan - The Light 3000
forgot that one
Soft Cell - Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go?
johnny cash- hung my head
melvins-youth of america
aretha franklin- respect
joe cocker- with a little help from my friends
mustang sally- wilson picket
....and not Atomic Kitten.
is truly horrible.
Schneider TM - The Light 3000
The Clash - Police & Thieves
The Fall - Mr Pharmacist
Devo - Satisfaction
Kid Carpet - Jump!
Bowie - Sorrow
and i'd say 'Heard it Through The Grapevine', but the Marvin Gaye original is also awesome, so i can't decide
apart from Police & Thieves. Junior Murvin >>>>>>> The Clash
And probably everything on Please, Please Me.
I'm an obsessive of his. Don't like the rest. Bar Cat Power who I haven't heard.
is Best Thing Ever material.
that was a different kind of lol from the foo fighters one :)
Wild Honey Pie
'Lay Lady Lay'. Suck on that Dylan.
Also 'How Come' by Embrace.
most guns n' roses covers were better than the original.
I thought it was the original.
I was being "satirical".
Sorry for being slow on the uptake!
27 - Crazy (Gnarls Barkley)
Ladytron - Oops Oh My (Tweet)
Love will tear us apart.
I kill me sometimes.... :D
the original just sounds so sedate..
Clap Hands (but probably not) / State Trooper / Lions After Slumber / Turn Me On
Soft Cell - Tainted Love
Nouvelle Vague - Ever Fallen In Love
Ben Folds - Bitches Ain't Shit
on the live at Brixton album
over the orginal which is just slow and rubbish
Nineteeneighties is a great covers album with age of consent being particularly fine.
but Cradle of Filth's version of 'Hallowed By Thy Name' is awesome!
Asd in the album or the song? Cause the song was the weakest of the bunch and deffinatly not better then the original, in fact i'd go as far as saying none of them where better then modest mouses versions.
Agree with the Ocean Breathes Salty Bit
but also no, not really at all because the Simon and Garfunkel version is brilliant too.
