But I love Dashboard.
I'm certain I will like it.
im not totally in love with it though, i think theres some weak tracks on it, i like the stuff with mercer on it though very much
dashboard. it's nice - sounds like it could have been on good news. you'd never be able to tell Johnny Marr is in on it though.
Almost as much as the old mouse, quite frankly im glad the band has moved on rather then got stuck in a rut and made 5 more lonesome crowded wests, people who keep on bashing bout how its no 'lonesome croweded west' should stop saying that, im glad that every album they release sounds genuingly different from one another yet sound so consistently good.
As for the new album, better than Good News in my opinion, I LOVE Little Motel, Spitting Venom, March Into The Sea and Steam Enginius (which i hated at first) woo hooo wooo hoo!
weirdly, there's a group of people who suddenly seem to think it all sounds like franz ferdinand.
parting of the sensory (is this a play of the words "party of the century" ? as thats what i thought the deejee said at first) and it is incredible.
that clappy, stomping bit is amazing.
'Someday you will day and somehow something's gonna steal your carbon'? One of the album highlights, that bit, such a great song.
The album is almost perfect I think, Steam Engenius and Education are the only two that I don't absolutely love, the rest is awesome. And the people who don't like Spitting Venom are idiots, pure and simple.
seriously what is that
I want to die
U can blame sony for that not Modest Mouse!
It's streaming on their myspace now. Spitting Venom is incredible - especially from the bit with the horns and the heavily delayed guitar onwards. A lot more Moon & Antarctica than the last album which is a very good thing.
of the album is pretty spectacular. We've Got Everything is ruddy hot. I wanna have it, now.
Really love it. I find it incredible that people are really clinging to this as the album in which they stopped sounding like "old" MM. They have sounded well produced and accomplished for probably the last three. If people are still harking back to the old MM, maybe its time to accept they dont like the band and move on.
is fucking HILARITY
