All I've heard off Neon Bible except the singles. It's fucking wonderful though.
the whole albums completely gorgeous, but i think it might benefit (slightly) by having it's track order changed. neon bible, the track, doesn't quite sit right where it is.
Not the best on there, but good nonetheless.
slash lacking emotion
My Body is a cage both sounds distinctly different to anything off Funeral and has loads of sincerity, albeit of a different kind to on Funeral.
I think I might scrape together some pennies and go buy it...
Not sure I agree about the tracklisting. I think it works really well. I think Neon Bible sits nicely between those two songs.
My body is a cage - still not sure about this. Probably my least favourite song on the album, which probably shows the strength of the album.
is the weakest track on the album. I'm a bit undecided on Regine's half of Bad Vibrations/Whatever the other bits called.
but it's grown on me. I also think Regine's half complements the other half which is frighteningly awesome and my favourite part of the album
I'm guessing it's going to be huge sounding live (Saturday!).
yes it is
today, and i reaaaally like it. completely different from funeral, sounds like a total grower :-)
is my favourite
gets stuck in my head
I think it's a testament to how good this album is, the fact that we each have our own stand out and forgettable track.
Personally 'My Body is a Cage' is one of my faves, whilst 'Neon Bible' is one I skip.
and overall it's definitely not as good as Funeral. Still a pretty nice album though, the redone Intervention is even better than the KCRW session one which was in itself great and the trio of Antichrists.../Windowstill/No Cars Go is awesome. However Black Mirror still really pisses me off.
Best track on the album. I just really love the bluesy vibe of the song.
