Because I know soupers won't start the thread.
please stop playing the same nights as junkplanet
although i don't have a ticket
i've never been to dingwalls, whats it like?
will be there. Dingwalls generally has a pretty good sound and more importantly a can of beer won't cost you £3.50. Apologies but I'm still seething with the appalling sound (and beer situation) at the Trail of Dead Koko gig, awful place.
I'm new to Trans Am but love sex change (the album!!). Was also really pissed off after that Koko gig as I was really looking forward to Forget Cassettes & TOTD but was let down by the sound (mainly the disappearing vocals) and not for the first time!
my favourite venue in Camden, there's not enough gigs there these days.
this or Kristin hersh?
to Liberation this morning on the way to work. YES!
but it's at a venue I like and is half the price. So er, yeah.
f'in AMAZING in Newcastle on Sunday. ROCK POWER.
I posted illegally from work just to say so. They just sliced through the DJ and forced him to stop playing with some ROCK that wouldn't have sounded out of place in the film TOP GUN.
LORDS playing with them? If so, yes yes yes. If not, hmm maybe not.
lords are playing too?
pretty sure I saw they were due to play some dates on this tour but I don't know which ones.
just became a father either Sunday or maybe Monday...well I think he did. So maybe they'll not be playing a gig tonight.
i'm well looking forward to this now...
we only did Glasgow and Liverpool due to work commitments. Trans Am killed on both dates. and in Leeds on Monday.
Its phill from reynolds who just became a Dad - CONNGRATULATIONS.
As far as we know, Lords are all childless.
i'll see em at ATP :D
They're playing there.
i didnt go last night, i was too knackered and needed a night in. but 29th at bardens shall be done.
They were awesome at Chinchillafest.
This was like the yin and yang of gigs. The support, 'Please', were a last minute thing according to Jo but frankly I've not seen a band and a performance that bad in years: three guys looking like extras off Life on Mars take a load of acid and pick an instrument they like and play it loud. Well that's what it sounded like.
Trans Am on the other hand were awesomely, awesomely, amazingly, face-huggingly brilliant and killed us all dead with their skillz. Yes. FAN-FUCKING-TASTIC!
to doing flyering at the last song. but they did 3 last songs!
trans am were lots of fun though.
"please" weren't fun enough i felt. their shirts reflected their attitudes, the guy on the left, the most conventional, had a slick nice shirt on. the guy on the right had a hideous paisley shirt on, and he played like he was trying to have fun. and then the drummer just had a plain ol' black t shirt on like he didn't give a fuck. so the music was a mixture of seriousness and fun, which clashed somewhat. i thought their lack of integration between these two elements was their downfall. but they were okay nevertheless.
gigs I've been to in a while. I used to do the sound at this place last year so it was kinda wierd coming back and being up the front. great to hear they're playing ATP ;D
I started to warm towards Please but they lost me as soon as I started thinking every track they played sounded like the Rhubarb and Custard theme song.
