Who else is going? Me me me.
Supposedly the new album sounds amazing.
And it's Palace prounced as it's spelt, not 'palay' like Essex nutter.
*I* goddammit, *I*!
an ATP VS Fans confirmation today methinks.
Belle and Sebastian
Boards of Canada
Bonnie Prince Billy
Broken Social Scene
Clap Your Hands Say Yeah
Godspeed You Black Emperor
Iron & Wine
The Flaming Lips
TV On The Radio
Yeah Yeah Yeahs
keep saying it, but THAT would be the best festival ever...
they're on the 'unavailable' list.
Someone on the Festivals board had said Blonde Redhead had already been approached and were unavailable?
more room for Andrew WK then eh theo?
Koko is horrible. I mean, sufficiently bad that I would rather not see a band at all than have to endure the sound system there.
Not sure they will be at ATP Vs The Fans sadly, seems they're on the unavailable list.
It'll be great. Sound was fantastic for Trail of Dead t'other night.
i'm not sure i would say that.. i was at the front, and i couldn't wear earplugs because it sounded even more like garbage with them in.
that hurt the next day.
It seems to be that near the front is a real problem area for Koko. I saw Sleater-Kinney there from about 4 rows back and it was one of the most frustrating gigs I've ever been to.
I saw the Low don't look back show at Koko (with Bat for Lashes) and the sound was great - was that just a lucky one-off? Shame if so, I really liked the look and layout of the place.
J'aime blonde redhead.
can you get tickets by the way - any way to avoid seetickets?
on ticketweb as well
But only because it's got 'In Particular', which is one of my favourite tracks ever.
Misery is a Butterfly is actually a good (if slightly different) album, so maybe just get that. :D
In an Expression of the Inexpressible is also great. My flatmate has them all so I'll ask him when I next see him.
who is NOT Theo? Thanks.
is my favourite because it's so, so beautiful. The sort of record you can drown in. All of their stuff is very very good though. And what I have heard of the new one sounds most excellent too.
I will investigate.
I can't decide... although I've never hears "Blonde Redhead" or "La mia via violenta"... but out of the ones I have... it's stoos up between "Damaged Lemons" and "In An Expression...". yaye!
I typed that with my thumbs... I hope it made some sense...
I listened to Misery Is A Butterfly quite heavily over the weekend and I'd say it has the most melancholy beauty... so if that's what you're after - go for that. Some of the songs "Misery Is A Butterfly", "Elephant Woman", "Melody", "Messenger" are pretty much breaking my heart.
Misery is a Butterfly or Melody of Certain Damaged Lemons...but I haven't heard all of them. MisB is ace.
(sorry all I'm doing is supporting Theo, my bad)
Is my favourite, though I know lots of people who prefer the style of Misery is a Butterfly. Apparently the new album is a lot more pop than any of the previous ones (according to Lyle).
if it's am album's worth of "This Is Not" style pop songs I would be happy!! The lyrics to that song make me cry.
to a track off the new album here:
i am looking forward to this
my tickets!!!! Nice way to start the weekend!
