I remember the 9 year old me watching this and thinking it was awesome
Most underrated British band of the 90s?
However. Giant Steps, most of Wake Up and C'Mon Kids are great, great albums.
Fortunately, I saw them at the same time as Dodgy, so it could have been worse.
Yes. How fortunate.
The drummer kept apologising for them being shite.
The only time I saw them I was 17, and in a massive park in Derby for the day. I wasn't relaly ready for the amount of booze I actually consumed that day. I was busy hurling my guts up as Staying Out For the Summer was played. Good times...
That's the second album isn't it?
My Dodgy discography knowledge is dodgy.
The Boo Radleys were a great band.
Now let's all go listen to Giant Steps and remember how good it is.
And Dodgy's first album. And Grassman, off the second.
Put me where you choooose!
around the time Lovebirds came out.
Big Brown Moon was the first song I learned on the guitar.
I played it well though
was great too
but they were very good
curse of many a great act. "giant steps" was great; "wake up" had its moments; "c'mon kids" is my second most favourite record of the nineties i think; even the last record had some good moments on it...
Barney (and me...) is probably my favourite single of the 1990's
close but no cigar Gene
I had to look up who he was on wikipedia
about Martin Carr?
is in Akira the Dons band.
And he defo wrote the Boo Radleys stuff, surely?
I've seen Brave Captain a couple of times. Very good
Martin Carr wrote all the lyrics and pretty much all the music too
Me & my ex-boyfriend stalked him once
Yeah he did write and produce most of all their tunes but I hear he was a prize twat!! non the less the Radleys had a couple of decent recordings.
