Mills and Boon! They're twiddly and folky and noisy and experimentally and ace.
other than Mike Mills and Michael Elphick playing duelling guitars, I'm going to be pissed off.
no, it's Crispin Mills.
is it that way round?
Crispin Hunt and Crispian Mills.
Danny Mills and David Boon having a bit of a jamming session. I never knew they were such good friends.
me out of this
Dead Boon don't say no.
they are VERY beardy though...
They played noisy noisy indie last time I saw them in London. And really well too. Birmingham based too I believe.
it was too packed so I went in the other room and got drunk though.
Here are two of my friends' awesome bands too:
the party at which sunset cinema club played as well?
They hail from Brum and are bloody good.
when they played the DiS Christmas thing.
they're from brum i think. i saw them at supersonic in 05 and i've heard NOTHING them since
found this other birmngham band who are pretty good:
they're ace. Not sure if they're still going though.
i want some records by em!
that's why I started the thread! They were the best band on I thought, Corsano/Flower Duo got a bit dull.
I liked 'em.
Have kind of disbanded because of Beestung Lips as far as I'm aware. They played in my house just before I moved out of Brum, don't remember any of it!
For good Brum talk and stuff there's always new bands about on www.thecommunion.co.uk , well sometimes...
Is my current favourite Birmingham related artiste- www.myspace.com/chargedparticles
apparently you can get his album for free if you ask nicely, I must do this.
are from Birmingham and they're great.
Japan is a quailty tune.
as I don't think they're strictly Brum itself, but they're good:
