i didn't even think they were still going!
a few years ago when I worked a Dingwalls and they were on the same bill as Eighties Matchbox B-Line Disaster who ate them alive!!
at some point soon. i saw the posters. i was amused, i think i saw them there about five years ago..
was good, I haven't bothered with anything beyond that. And they bored me senseless at Truck last year. Stick with Brakes.
was a very underrated album. I used to really like them. I may have to grace frog with my presence on Saturday.
I think it's an awful, awful record. Possibly one of the worst I own, to be honest.
(keeping in theme with Gary Colemans birthday being today). I was expecting it to be bad, but I really enjoyed it. 'Bruxxelisation' is on my 'quiet time' playlist. (times when I am hungover)
and thats saying something.
so it's not fair for me to comment.
But frog is appalling. I was forced to go a couple of weeks ago. They played litterally ever song on the klaxons album. I mean I like the klaxons, but jesus, there's so much music in the world than the last thing you were listening to you know!
"better than chalk
and thats saying something."
so youre saying that chalk is good, but frog is even better?
nonsense. chalk is superior to frog in every single way, except location
it seems that they way they were fucked about by their record label with their second album, it completely knocked them for six and they almost gave up, but they have been playing around brighton at random points for the last couple of years, and have been really good every time I've seen them, so hopefully the new album will get the attention it deserves.
so, probably not.
called the Human Body which sounded awesome live but was then strngely poor on disc (something of a reversal of fortunes for the band on past evidence). American Adventure has some cool tunes on it butthey've not come close to Holes in the Wall.
or at least what I heard of it - first time since Silent To The Dark that they'd been really worth properly hearing.
Math Priest is their live drummer now. Math Priest! From Dodgy!
i forget which. though i could be getting confused.....
and frog is horrible - that sounds like my worst indie nightmare. good on them for still going tho
it's a truly awful place.
