Just listening to them for the first time at the moment and I'm really rather enjoying it.
Anyone else like them?
The string arrangements are very pretty sounding.
but find it hard to NOT listen to the album in one sitting, meaning i have to set aside time for the band, rather than quick car music or something.
But, I didn't even realise how much time was passing by even though I knew how long the songs were.
I think this would be great driving music.
them, got one of their hand made cd's. They may be late to the whole post-rock thing but their songs are just so good it doesnt matter.
hate the nay-sayers as well
so i really cant be arsed with these. even if they are good.
looking at Aereogramme albums on Amamzon and it recommended this lot to me. What are they like?
apologies, I'm 'pre-works-night-out drunk'...
I want to be pre-work drunk, it'd make the time fly by so much quicker.
So yeah, Yndi Halda, some folky style guitar work and some nice cinematic noise but wouldn't stick them in the post-rock category in the traditional sense.
finished listening to 'Dash and Blast'. Nice, very nice, like a longer Aereogramme instrumental (so Amazon were pretty much spot on!). They do remind me of a less dramatic Godspeed You! Black Emperor a bit, but that's a good thing.
... and you know it.
...we'll have them for a DiS show soon.
