i just heard "jessica simpson" by adam green, 'twas ace, anyone know anything about him?
and has 4 solo albums, I reccomend 'Friends of mine'. The song you heard is actually just called "Jessica" and is from that album.
has, i think, four solo albums now. the first one isnt that good.
i think i probably like Gemstones best, because he does liek proper crooning on that one.
one quite good song for ten bad...
he gets less funny the older he (or i) get as well.
I'm too old ?
lemonheads' "the outdoor type" is one of my faviourite songs, but only because it's delivered in such a mournful way. think that's what i liked about the jessica song. wouldn't necessarily want to hear a whole album in that vein though, i'd rather it was a one-off among other types of song.
that lemonheads song is one of my favourites as well.
"we came upon a biscuit, and we all came on the biscuit"
gets less funny though.
i am too.
i think his target market is 18 year olds.
18 year olds !
May explain why he hasn't that much fans...
someone's agreeing with me !
the Moldy Peaches album, I'm not too fussed about his solo stuff
and its a bit rubbish init? i hated them at the time but thought it must have been because i was too young and not hip enough. anyone want to take it off my hands at zonino? you buy me a drink, you get an album. thats the deal.
you are clearly not hip enough
album but done on a four track
to hear the 2nd tenacious D album.
I haven't heard that Tenacious D album, but the MP album is often dismissed as some novelty record, which it really isn't. There are some hilarious bits on it alongside Nothing Came Out which is heartbreaking. And there aren't many better songs to play at full volume than NYC is a Graveyard
pretty shit. check out the moldy peaches or kimya dawson's (the other 1/2 of that band) solo stuff on k. or even better, their friend jeffrey lewis.
nyc.. as someone else said up there. it's a great album.
their single county fair/rainbows is amazing too.
not sure about the 2-disc demos and live collection though...
but his albums have got worse since, jacket full of danger is a bit poo
still, he's great live. in fact his set at reading fest 2005 was one of the best gigs i've been to.
