years old stuff. 70's or older. 'Classic' albums that I probably don't know about. Thank you :)
by the Sonics.
Its more Rock'n'Roll than ROCK. But its amazing, really punky and viscous.
Tango Mango by Can is stunning.
stunning i tell you. buy it.
under "Tago Mago"
to not have sold a million records, The Modern Lovers. Awesome, buy, or download the first self titled record. Especially if you like VU.
The Yard Birds...
Go down the Led Zeppelin route if you haven't Mirri - I can talk you through it... :D
John Martyn - Solid Ari
...all that jive, quality prog action.
Try 'Split' by the Groundhogs.
any excuse to post this
Black Monk Time
look forward to checking these out. It was the Zep's Physical Graffiti that made me post the thread.
I've always admired your screenie, CHAIRMAN_LMAO.
The Litter- Distortions
and of course ACDC
'Here come the warm jets' by Brian Eno. Everyone should do really...
The first six albums are awesome:
Black Sabbath, Paranoid, Master of Reality, Vol. 4, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath, Sabotage
Increasingly dodgy after that.
I'd also recommend Vincebus Eruptum by Blue Cheer.
SF Sorry by The Pretty Things
Oh yeah - definitely that too. (Sf Sorrow)
also- get some good garage comps...teenage shutdown is good...back from the grave. Nuggets is good if you've never heard that stuff before, but they stuck a load of poppy stuff in there, which is nice too, but not hard rocking garage
Those things are like a masterclass in rock.
...to Dazed and Confused is a pretty good 70s rawk comp sampler.
Which reminds me: ZZ Top - "Rio Grande Mud"
'The Ikon Records Story 1964-66' on Crypt Records. Although once you get into Crypt stuff you may have trouble getting out again, there's so much.
allman brothers band and duane allman anthology, really good riffs and duane was the best guitarist in th world, even thrashing clapton.
the first two Roxy Music albums, don't know if that's not obscure enough. Also New York Dolls' first record's pretty good.
