Are shit and dated.
new video - kinda pretty good, actually.
You are joking aren't you?The video is pish too.
the video is good.
the new song sounds an ever so slightly downbeat version of the Feeling.
Although they did a half decent cover of 'I Heard it Through the Grapevine' for the send Warchild album.
with 'an inch away from being the worst piece of sound ever recorded' and you're just about on the money with that description.
You think so? I thought it was a commendable effort given the song should never be covered by anyone with as little competence as the Kaiser Cheifs.
I mean the chorus literally GOES NOWHERE, its like RUBY RUBY(erm) RUBY RUBY RUBY. The backing is fucking anemic bullshit, mid nineties none entity indie.Ricky's limp vocals are effected up to the hilt. It reminds me of a forgettable track from one of those free 90s NME compilation cds.
Still it will probably be huge, I thought their first album was appalling too.
is fucking toilet
that Ruby is an utterly shite comeback single. It is really really appalling, there is zero progression from the previous album and it sounds exactly like track 9 from Employment (Carolina, i forget what it's called). The worst part is in a months time when it will be inescapable.
rather a lot, actually.
Kaiser Chiefs are better than 'Mika', worse than the Rolling Stones and on a par with The Feeling. Rising to 'better than the Feeling' when it isn't that RUBYRUBYRUBYRUBEHH song.
I think that's all I have to say on the subject at this moment.
You got anything to say?
sounds like they were desperately trying to write something that didn't rely on them going HWOOOOARW all the way through.
It's rubbish - HWOOOOARW was what they were good at.
I'm stating an opinion.
And if the borometer of quality is "well at least its better than Mika on the radio." We're all dooommmed!
Thanks for calling me a prick as well, that's nice of you.
to the new single yet...
