i think this started last night, am I right?
And no, dunno the setlist.
I'm interviewing Jordan on Monday.
Hopefully he'll remember me... I've only interviewed him, like, five times already or something.
you want to know the setlist? thats no fun
i just want a rough idea of what they're playing.
i doubt they'll keep the same one every night. although i heard that they did do this for quite a few dates on their US tour?
I have exams on.
Only half full, no audience 'movement' and the sound was shit.
Hope that's not indicative of the tour...
i will make sure that there is movement at the oxford show!
that's what sucks about alot of indie fans liking them, you don't get so many of the hardcore style fans jumping about, throwing fists& that.
i HATE when people just stare and fold their arms at gigs. especially BB style gigs.
pretty sure it's gonna be insane.
no throwing fists though. i'm not that hxcore
but limbs and vocal chords hopefully?
limbs and vocal chords.
do you know if it's downstairs or upstairs?
downstairs i hope. i've never been upstairs there but i'm told it's wank.
i had no idea there even WAS a downstairs/upstairs.
i saw the brian jonestown massacre up some stairs and i really enjoyed it, a good crowd.
is downstairs tiny/cramped and sweaty? if so, then i also hope it's there.
upstairs is just a big black room with a bar at the back.
downstairs is smaller. the band have to walk through the crowd to get to the stage, and there's no barrier between the crowd and the band.
so it should be pretty insane if it's downstairs
filled out, otherwise there'll be too much room to move!!
just aberdeen crowds.
yawwwwwwn i say to them. yawwwwwwn.
I'n not Aberdonian so I take no offence whatsoever :-)
is what they;ve opened with in America, and they'd better open with it for this tour too! because it's so mental good.
i've got tickets but I might not be able to go.
I was really looking forward to it.
aberdeen= opened with fire followed by trash which = all types of ace. band played equal parts crimes and machetes and managed to squeeze ambulance vs almbulance and "another song from BPIB but can't remember now." brilliant source. crowd were like "statues" as mentioned above.
i am going to OXFORD and LONDON. Those not dancing at either of these shows will get handclaps and foot stamps up in yo grill.
...going to both the islington and xfm alldayer shows. scooooore.
when i saw them as well.
that they open with set fire to the face on fire, and end on giant swan.
Giant Swan i'll cry.
probably my favourite song of 2006.
when it kicks in heavy, i get chills down the spine everytime, so it'd be even better live.
god bless friends selling tickets to sold out intimate events. downside - i may have to watch the horrors. SEAN SAYS BOO.
"BACK AT THE RESORT!"
That line harks approaching brilliance...
I saw a set-list where they opened with "fire" played "swan" and closed with "shame".
That'd be ideal.
i'm so excited i could die
there'll be a good crowd at oxford cos it's all ages, they're always enthusiastic. it also means that it might be shit too. in other ways. oh well, blood brothers!!!
that you're coming to the oxford date! i'll probably see you, and not say hi. because i'm a lame.
you live in southampton!
you should say hi if you see me!
lots of exclamation marks!
to not look at me totally blankly and things?
i have an awful fear this will happen when i see people at gigs.
just make sure you tell me who you are and it'll be GREAT! we can dance!
i'm just going to feel very very silly introducing myself as 'neecho off of the internet'
and then you might not hear me, and then the blank staring might happen etc.
it'll be my first meating of DiSer.
it will be a triple whammy, jasminepearson and doubtful are coming too!
allegedly. i don't know him though.
my this is going to be most exciting. though maybe not for my bemused girlfriend, who will just think i'm a saddo.
on myspace recently??
another name ticked off the list.
while you were upstairs I was at the front watching drunken teenagers flapping around to Help She Can't Swim, having their smuggled booze confiscated, throwing a strop about it and being allowed to stay till the break then told to go downstairs and sober up. Apparently they didn't as they were in a police van when I left
I don't really feel that old at gigs, I'm only 37, apart from when shitty Green Day wannabe opening acts accuse me of being a paedo for being at gigs at my age with a camera :p
Anyways, Blood Brothers were good
did they play love rhymes?
i'm glad i didn't waste my time and bandwidth then. what good songs can you remember that they played? i really hope they play love rhymes with hideous car wreck
thank you :D
ill be seeing them at rock city on sunday, courtesy of this website and their awesome competitions.
