Talk Talk: Spirit of Eden or Laughing Stock?
Which Talk Talk record (of these two) do people on here prefer? I usually say Laughing Stock but this past month has seen me listening to Spirit of Eden a lot and I think I may now like it more. Has anyone heard the Mark Hollis solo album? Does it sound similar?
Did anyone else pretty much ignore their whole "post rock" collection after finding these? They seem to have influenced so many other bands (or just done it all earlier). There's even a bit on Spirit of Eden that sounds identical to a section of Beaches and Canyons by Black Dice. Wonderful albums. Timeless and just perfect.
