Johnny Vegas

waterwings [Edit] [Delete] 11 replies 17:22, 24 December '04
Is this man a comedy genius or (in my personal opinion) an annoying, unfunny, moronic, fat, drunken mess who has very little (if anything) to say, complemented with the most fucking irritating screech of a voice?

His embarassing...erm..performance(?) on the British Comedy Awards didn't do himself any favours either.

    Christ! Bit harsh...!

Still, he is a bit pretentious and his "Animals" and "Politics" DVDs aren't particularly amusing and/or informative. Whether they were meant to be either is still a mystery to me.

Dave Gorman isn't particularly funny but then I don't find any British stand up comics funny as I can't relate to what they say. Big Yin (no), Eddie Izzard (no), those mentioned (no). I'll admit Vegas made me laugh on Room 101 when discussing Beauty's Castle until he dragged the joke out.

      cheggers - I could not agree more! 100% spot-on.

He has nothing worthwhile to say; in this context, I mean his "material" (does he actually have any?) isn't amusing in the slightest, his delivery is appauling and his moronic drawls just make me want to burn my TV, nevermind merely switching it off.

He posesses not even a shred of talent - go back to your local where you belong, Vegas.

Rob Brydon is very good, as is Daniel Kitson. Peter Kay is ok, can't help feeling in five years time though that he will be the equivalent of the two ronnies. I'm not saying anything about vegas - i can't say those types of words so close to christmas.
