that the thermals...
bamos must be such an emo.
They disgust me.
I was looking at the yearbook the other day, where they outlined each of the 'scenes'.
It was like:
"Scene 1: NEW RAVE
What to wear:
Luminous, bright coloured clothes from the early 90s. Can be baggy, but stick with skinnies.
What to do:
Be mad, be crazy, do MDMA
Who to dance to:
It then went on to say Russell Brand was part of a scene called "New Goth", which included The Horrors and My Chemical Romance. They're obviously put into the same boat, because The Horrors sound JUST LIKE My Chemical Romance.
Worst NME-invented scene of the year (and possibly ever) is Best Midlands?
"Best" Midlands, you see? You see what they did there? You see?
That's even worse than "New Yorkshire"

I'm so, so sorry.
the memorable "third summer of love". I think that was the last Nme i looked at..
Poor Sunset Cinema Club. Theyre actually good. :(
This is all your fault.
Back in the early days of Funeral For A Friend. That was one shit tag.
To me Klaxons just sound like any other band that's been big this year. Someone explain to me how they got the tag 'new rave'.
was another classic. I remember NME labelling Hot Chip this...I still have no idea what it means.
Scarily enough, they used it to try and describe themselves on their Myspace page. Some journalist or other picked up on it. They may live to regret it.
shitdisco did that?
bands have to learn that NME journos will grab hold of these labels like a starving dog on a bone. See also: "Thamesbeat", jokingly coined by Alfie from Larrikin Love in an interview once.
is my motto. for christmas, my mum bought me a mug and a baseball cap that say it.
the zutons, the...wait...that's it
The Bees were supposedly in on that 'scene'
How to make a bland group of bands seem 'cool'... associate them with drugs.
Why is Saddam being hanged when Conor McNicholas is still alive?
issue that Mr. McNic has yet to commit mass genocide.
el o el
hearing Zane Lowe talking to Rival Schools about how the first rule of emo was that you couldn't speak about emo. That must of been 1999/2000
around 25 years old. funny really.
