Faith No Meh.
but if you dont like them at all, you probably don't have a penis
Anyway, yeah. They're fucking great. 'Angel Dust' is the best 50p I ever spent.
im not saying women dont like them.
but if youre a man, and you have no place for them in your heart, your penis probably doesnt work
here here. This has been proven.
Faith No YOUAREAMENTAL.
An absolutely amazing band capable of making truly incredibly music.
I miss them, I really do :(
The Real Thing is an example of funk SHOULD be done by white boys. HELL RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS, I AM TALKING TO YOU.
One Hot Minute.
Aaanyway, FNM is brilliant. End of.
FNM: King For A Day OWNS.
one hot minute has dave navarro on it= ace. and my friends is a lovely lovely song, much better than under the bridge
Yes it is. I don't know anything else and I can't be bothered to risk finding out if that is as good. But that's ace.
it's as good as Angel Dust.
the only other one I have is Album Of The Year but I wasn't impressed with that when I first listened to it..
Korn probably wouldn't have left their stain on the musical map if it wasn't for FNM.
is a god.
great band, but he really made them.
i should play them on my radio show tomorrow morning.
I will check out Angel Dust, before I totally right off this band. I got the "Platinum Collection" as an intro to the band and it left me cold.. minus the stiff nipples.
this last week I've been on a 'rediscovering FNM' trip, and this post turns up. Darcy you are a giant oaf with testicles where your ears should be. Angel Dust is a landmark in modern Rock.
I also didn't realise until this week that Mike Patton appears on Medulla by Bjork. Madness. What a voice.
you are the oaf.
I wasn't stating that they were meh, I was getting a debate going to see what other people thought their best album was....the greatest hits didn't really do it for me.
I'd never trust a greatest hits package in the first place.
From looking at the tracklisting of the platinum collection, I'd have probably been slightly underimpressed if thats the first thing I'd heard. There's no Land of Sunshine, Cuckoo for Caca, Gentle Art of Making Enemies, Digging the Grave, Smaller and Smaller, Be Aggressive, The Real Thing, War Pigs. What the hell?
Just get The Real Thing, Angel Dust and King for a Day. All bloody good, all very different.
...B.E. Aggressive, B.E. A.G.G.R.E.S.S.I.V.E!"
every time I hear those cheerleaders
Mike Patton ROCKS!
They were such an amazing act... they had some grrrrrrrrrrrrrreat songs....
there was a thread about this the other day..
(where's KOVACS when I need him??? - looks around)
it's all about Patton.
WE CARE A LOT rocks. I'd forgotten that one.
Patton's live version tore Moseley's album version a new one!
all this talk made me moist for some Angel Dust, which I hadn't listened to for a little while.
and yes, just to clarify, it is a fucking incredible record.
They were the first band I listened to once I've outgrown NKOTB.
Looooooove their version on War Pigs.
Faith No More are amazing.
I think they're one of those old school nineties alt rock bands, that actually experimented, and played around with their sound a bit.
but Bungle were better, and it is a sheer joy stealing lots of Patton stuff of Soulseek and what fucking thing he is gonna do next. Check out the new Zorn recording and the old Merzbow one, if you haven't. Awesome. Simply awesome. The man is charged with a million volts of electricity.
They had three works of genius, Angel Dust being the very best.
"King for a Day..."
Being a close second (depending what mood I'm in). The first 4 tracks from 'King...', GENIUS!
better than Patton?? I don't think even Chuck Moseley's MUM shares your opinion on that one man!
Angel Dust is their very very best album, every single song is just incredible. I still don't understand why they never released Kindergarten as a single, or why Crack Hitler was never used as a Bond theme (crack-dealing references aside
KfaD is pretty close but there's a few less-than-classics on it, Caralho Voadar is pretty weak, as is Star AD. They lost something (namely the awesome metal guitars) when big Jim Martin walked out, although KfaD has stuff like What A Day which was a good attempt at keeping it heavy...
I love Faith No More. Best band ever, best album ever, imo.
