(or other inferior player?)
me: 6844 songs, 17.7 days, 30.33gb
Playing now: Patrick Wolf - Accident & Emergency
but my puter tells me I have 17078 mp3s on here.
I think it's been around that for ages now.
I want a new hard drive.
Now playing is Dntel - (This is) Dream of Evan and Chan
only 596 songs, 1.6 days, 3.07GB
playing now: Teenagers - Homecoming
5206 songs, 348:08:39 (I can't be bothered to work out how many days this is).
Playing now: nothing.
23,794 songs, 64.2 days, 126.69gb
ikara colt - sink venice
That's a lot! I have none on this one (work computer), if I remember right I have around 5500 on iTunes at home, about 25Gb.
Listening now to Six by Seven - Eat Junk Become Junk
that plays ones and zeros.
on my pc
1,511 songs 7.33 Gb
(poor I know but I only changed computers 3 weeks ago and yet to build up the collectin again)
now playing "Six Feet Under The Ground" by Don't Look Back
dont like my computer
Imagine being told you have 2 weeks to live, but you have 20 days of music on your PC. What would you listen to?
But I think (going from memory) that Winamp has 30-35gb at 26 days
but on my computer I currently have roughly 3000 songs
i have about 350 albums on my PC, but they're all ones i've encoded to go on my Walkman.
24.4 days. Which would be great if 1) My iPod hadn't formatted itself outside of warranty at Easter and 2) iTunes 7 wasn;t the biggest load of rubbish ever that makes all my tracks skip.
So I'm listening to Closing Time by Tom Waits. On CD.
which isn't too bad considering I only really listen to two bands
Its about 70gb
and I'll tell you :D
Your iTunes must be slow as hell
What MP3 player do you have?
It builds a database, I thought, so once it's done that it should be very quick.
Well having that many tracks, probably all within one main folder must take a bit of a hit on the RAM. Plus the temp files and database files will be huge.
And saying that, iTunes 7 is already pretty slow to start with. Not to mention all the bugs in version 7.
and I really don't get any slowdown with a 2.2GHz iMac with 2gb of RAM.
now playing: isolee - schrapnell
fortunately my hard drive is MASSIVE. but soulseek seems sad and unwilling today :(
when my old pc fucked up it hit me pretty bad..
19,500 roughly, 96gb. But thats on my mac which is at rents till i have the funds to buy it off them.
I had to get my laptop replaced, so had to reload i-tunes and all my other cd's are at home, so only 670 at the moment.
pretentious is this thread. i have loads of meg. WOW!
Mark Kozelek - Rock N' Roll Singer
Now playing: LiLiPUT - You
have a spangly white 30GB of an i-pod and well, long may it damn well live.
I culled and started again recently.
11 days, 18.62Gb
Now playing: The Edmund Fitzgerald - Horses
nine point seven gigabytes
now my cd drive is broken i dont really bother with music on the computer any more. i should really get it fixed. hm.
now listening to: Annie - Chewing Gum (Mylo Remix)
Playing now: Asobi Seksu - Pink cloud tracing paper
I'm only half way ripping my CDs.
Unfortunately I started to rip all the first at 256kbps or 320kbps. That was stupid, because I only have 3310 but it amounts to 23.45 gb.
I'm converting them all now.
23.2GB. Which I'm currently transferring onto my SHINY NEW IPOD. I'm not sure if it's possible to be in love with a piece of plastic, but currently I'm close.
Mine is broken again. This time the hard drive is making a sound like seagulls
6253 songs. I'm listening to Masterplan, hearing it on the radio all the time has made me remember it is one of the few Oasis songs I like.
there's only 5 Sunn0))) albums on there though (arf).
with about 5 albums I haven't yet uploaded...
you mean a player thats inferior like itunes?
i-tunes is the best isn't it?
26.7 GB, 8116 songs.
i could probably delete some though. Am i really going to listen to Performance And Cocktails any time soon?
Now Playing: Strawberries - Asobi Seksu
Asymetrical Twins - I'm Being Good
as I went for sound quality over quantity. Some of the tracks though will be a full side of a vinyl 33rpm recorded onto a cdr as one track
6100 songs, 18.1 days, 30.71GB
Go Team - Bottle Rocket :)
just realised I replied to this thread in December and have since doubled my collection. Schweet.
any more is just greedy
of which roughly 10% are my own compositions
But Ive had to delete a load coz my computer didnt like it anymore!
Don't think I'll be putting anymore on there!
In the future i would like to sit in my room for 17 days and listen to it all.
number of song I actually like? Probably about 1,000.
that has more than 10,000 songs - streamline!
