Krissi Murison's comments, a paragraph above, worry me slightly.
"We're a filter for everyone," she says (it's a she, right?), and mentions that there's a lack of quality control on music websites. But, since all critical review writing is subjective, WUT?
The suggestion that NME is better because of its heritage, too, befuddles me. I'm going to trust 20 words on a new band in your Radar section more than I will 200+ here or over at Pitchfork, when they've taken songs apart and made references to touchstones whereas you've just written 'your new favourite band in 2008' or some bollocks?
Can't believe that about Travis Morrison's solo record though... tragic!
