Late Britpop was a 'great' period for bands disapearing faster than they came...
Case in point : PERFUME ( yes I know, it was a shit name... )
The singer had a interesting voice, the band a couple of ace songs but it wasn't enough at a time where music fans where changing tatse.
So despite some singles getting great reviews, they failed after 2 albums and disappeared ( but a Leeds band named Jacob had a singer sounding amazingly than Perfume's singer ! ).
This has aged quite badly, but singles like 'lover', 'carving your name' or 'yesterday follows you' are well worth checking.
Couldn't find a link, but try googling Perfume ! Shit name !
