DiS 66 Best Live Shows
Any silly rag can do a list of best albums...but it takes a real devotion to music to see enough shows where we can actually make a list of the best live shows of the past six years. By my calculations DiS, including DiS associates (heretofore known as DiSassTers), have seen an astonishing 97.4% of all the shows performed in Great Britain and 43.4% worldwide during this period. (Yes, it's hard to believe, but these numbers are statistical facts. No, really.) Therefore, in an effort to get Sean and Colin to post an official list of the best shows of this new millenium, we shall remind them of a few of our favorites ...before Colin assigns the Sea & Cake fan to write the article. Lemme tell ya, Sea & Cake's Sam Prekop made me wish I was home watching a Survivor rerun or playing Russian Roulette with 2 bullets. But I digress, my point is I went to the stupid show because my devotion to music, to DiS, DEMANED it. You guys know what I'm talking about! But the idiocy of Perfect Circle, the boredom of S&C and several other bands aside, I happened to see several noteworthy shows over this period. I'll tell you my fav's (and not-so fav's) and you tell me yours...and maybe we'll get DiS to post a real feature article on the best shows because apparently there are people who frequent DiS but are too frightened to participate on the ye-ole message boards. And as far as lists go, love 'em or hate 'em, this Live Show idea ain't half bad...if I don't say so meself!
