DEFINE LO-FI, YOU GIT!
people with nothing more complicated than a four track and no chance of a career.
Amazing guitar + 4 track tape machine + loadsa' smack = amazing
like a siren
with the vocals near the end before the solo makes me do a little wee.
or something by Beat Happening, or the Shaggs
i've finally worked out what it reminds me of...an emmy the great track. seriously.
He adds this extra verse:
There's no more hugging in the kitchen,
No more pats on the back in the hall.
No more chest on breasty chest behind the curtain.
No more lip on nape of neck in shower stall.
No more cosy gardens or craving curvy hips on my belly.
I'm giving up so I can be free from you.
I'm paying fees so I can sever ties from you.
Let craving call and beg and bawl, and face it tall.
Let my soft skin have more sweet soft air on me.
Let boulders drown.
Also Emmy the Great? She can't write songs of that calibre.
but my heart belongs to sparklehorse, to be honest.
otherwise: evening on the ground by iron and wine, hmmm and lots of others i cant think of. i love lo-fi
