but what would you recommend listening to whilst on shrooms?
Tago Mago by Can.
Flying Teapot by Gong.
Drums Not Dead by Liars.
La Ciruela Electrica by Kaleidoscope (the mexican Kaleidoscope).
Disc two of Each One Teach One by Oneida (the track 'No Label' in particular).
Os Mutantes self-titled?
Silver Apples/Contact by Silver Apples.
the track 'Why Don't You Eat Carrots' by Faust.
That's what I enjoy whilst tripping anyway :)
by Lieutenant Pigeon :p
look up some back issues of NME.
science of sleep was a tripy movie if you are up for it.
used to entice randoms back to her flat, give them copious amounts of acid then play nothing but stuff like Ivor Cutler, Anal Cunt and Frankie Teardrop by Suicide
frankie teardrop by suicide for the first time today. Give me all the drugs on planet earth I'd still be bored shitless by that. Equally anal cunt could only get more hilarious if you could see them dancing in front of you whilst the room span counter clockwise and time stood still. I have no idea who ivor cutler is but still.
made me do a vomit. correctify it.
What incentives did she use to entice them - the offer of acid?
the movie 'waking life.'
listening, well, take lsd for listening. shroomies are kiddie acid & more visual than mental. but tipper- surrounded would be nice. boards of canada. if you can find it, sphongle- are you sphongled? true psychedelia...
& drugs aren't bad. it's excess (of anything) that's bad. & lsd doesn't fry the brain, it expands the mind....
the doors self titled is still the king of enjoyable drug listening.
Ágætis byrjun on repeat, for hours.
Any more suggestions?
metal box whilst indulging in big biffo splifter dopey ciggies. damn me.
i dont know anyone who smokes it anymore and thus havent had a jazzbine for about 3 and a half years. plus i'm not that bothered anymore. but still i feel the metal boxness would be rather ace. feel the baasss.
i would but there's nothing good on at times i want to see it.
Vinyl if possible. Last time, I listened to early Beatles records really, really loud, and I could see the soundwaves passing through me and taking bits of me with them, like those metal squares made out of pins that you put your hand on to make a print.
It were good.
we were so incredibly relaxed, i tried to put Kid A on at one point (it took me about 10 mins to work out how to use the cd player) but no one was digging it maaaan, so we went back to sigur ros. this time i want to have music that's more active but not to upsetting to the general atmosphere if that makes sense. Maybe animal collective or miles davis, and possibly a bit of Múm, Jenifever, mogwai, BoC.
Then get two copies of Kid A.
Start one playing 17 seconds after the other. That's trippy shit, man.
Geogaddi or Music Has The Right To Children. The Stranglers-Black And White. Butthole Surfers-Locust Abortion Technician. Slayer-Hell Awaits. Joy Division-Unknown Pleasures. Cocteau Twins-Treasure
The Early Years.
NOT Venetian Snares. That would pry your 3rd eye open far too quickly.
Watch Waking Life or Spirited Away a few hours in.
Come Out, which would be interesting
