what are people expecting?
i'm going for either atd-i or Kid A
Your posts are never funny.
DiS is all about the mid-week student night, 3-for-1 wkd deal, cattle market vibe.
Though, one of Colin's faviroute albums is God Bless Miss Black America by Miss Black America so I wouldn't be surprised if that was really high up in the list.
it'll be Is This It?
Less Than Jake.
"GAINESVILLE, ROCK CITY!" :D
Cat Power - The Greatest
but i bet its going to be Botch - we are the romans.
Was re-released though, wasn't it?
....i thought it came out in 2000? i may be mistaken.
didn't i post here saying what i thought it was?
i'm sure i did. maybe i hit abandon reply. or maybe i'm being silenced....
i will be confused all day now.
i'm pretty sure it isn't kid a
i read it- CENSORSHIP!
THE TRUTH IS OUT THERE
i mean, everyone is aimlessly specualting what they think DiS might reckon to be the best album released in its existence, why, as soon as someone hits on the right one delete it?
that will only serve to let said person(and anyone else who read it before you deleted it) know that they were right, and therefore spoil the anticipation of actually finding out if the guesses were right.
now the secrets out, but if you had just left it there no-one would have known they had guessed right, and eeveryone would be happy.
of the kid a thing...
i thought'd win. just who.
it might be worlds apart...
i suspect a glitch rather than any malicious deleting.
i know who the mystery guests are at that thing too. maybe.
its not like it didnt post it - i read it
but only when the site had just changed over. so maybe?
And then I thought that surely one of these will have to make the top ten.
Everyone's In Love...
Miss Machine (come on, it's great!) Oceanic/Panopticon
I'd love A Song To Ruin to be in there but it'll probably be Harmony No Harmony...
Mclusky Do Dallas
Relationship Of Command
Once Like A Spark
Erase All Name And Likeness (if it were in there, that would fucking ROCK!)
Lateralus (a true candidate for number one in my eyes)
Kid A (likewise)
Effloresce (or Everyone Into Position, they're both fantastic)
To You The First Star
The Trees Are Dead And Dried Out...
Doppelganger (look it up)
If Botch had released We Are The Romans in 2000, that would be near the top of my list, no question. But anyway, after being very exhaustive, I hope that I've come a little bit closer to working out which one is number one...
has got to be up there
HAS to be there
There's been something shocking choices in this list. most notably PGMG, good band, but just so so very average
So is ROC, though theyre both in the top 5 of all time in my opinion.
Who knows ?
(^rhetorical question-marked to prevent member of staff smugly saying "I do !")
They'll put Kid A in second and something "controversial" in pole position.
Or are they only having one album fron each band, cos Blood Thirsty... has already been in.
i just know it
because the link saying 'review' would lead to a piece of writing that comes to the conclusion that it is only worth four out of ten
And that'd be a smidgen embarrassing, no?
I'd like to think I'm wrong though
yes it is good, but it just doesn't touch/move/interest me like so many other albums.
Would probably be mine, anyway.
when it comes to Kid A, music is objective, and If you dont think its better than something really really good, you're wrong.
possibly mutilation as well
as Sean hates Radiohead. I reckon it'll be ATDI or some other less worthy thing :-P
Jens Lekman - When I Said I Wanted To Be Your Dog and David Thomas Broughton - The Complete Guide To Insuffiency...I would really, REALLY love to see these two in parts three or four.
And Death Cab haven't been in it, have they? I guess that's doubtful too.
It'll probably be Kid A, or I'm Wide Awake, I think.
better than Hard Candy. But apart from that I totally agree with your top 5!
As is Isis. They're just too good and important not to be. I'm fucking certain.
It's a classic.
As is MBA.
Kid A and TOTBL will hopefully be up there.
Happy Songs for Happy People?
it'll be the Others...
british sea power?
^some of these are my favourites, and probably wont make this list (see: the bronx, tool)
silver side up?
maybe 'no kill, no beep beep' could be in the top 6?
ooh ooh and Mclusky too! there hasnt been one of theirs yet has there?
