only about 5 songs tho. thats enough, isnt it?
whats his new band like?
They were aceness. haven't heard his new band yet.
Dev's band are Lightspeed Champion. Well it is just him.
Raary's is Rat:att:agg who I have seen play about 3-4x now and I happen to frickin love...
just good loud fuck off music. makes me happy.
I must say, all the singles grew in me. Haven't got round to listening to the album yet tho. Still don't know if i ever will.
despite the Nathan Barley jibes
is a great tune. not sure about the rest.
few songs amazing, others awful
are all good as well. I still think What's Your Damage? was the best track they ever made though.
irrespective of their 'sceneness' or whatever.
The album's great, too.
pretty much the same, but without the black guy.
Different bands completely in my opinion.
I remember seeing rat:att:agg back at one of their first gigs in June and two klaxons, one lost penguin and an ex test icicle was there. That was<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<SCENE>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> to the max.
I just looked at their Wikipedia entry and apparently one of them gave an interview to NME after the split and said that they never even liked their own music. Truth or not, that's a very Test Icicles statement.
Ah well, they were never in the same league of modern UK punk as the like of Jarcrew.
I can pretty much believe that they never liked their own music. Did they not previously form bands and then split them up after a couple of gigs? It was obviously just one of these jokes that went a bit far.
The band Dev had with Tom Vek and a Semifinalists bloke for a couple of gigs after Test Icicles split had some decent songs, mind.
Plus Devs a cheating bastard
according to a friend who went out with him
He's really not famous so I don't consider this name dropping
around here he is.
the plot of a film; gaggle of cocky, chancing musically precocious pranksters create a joke punk band, accidentally gaining the mantle of NME "next big thing", decide to play up the Emperor's New Clothes gag until it all goes too far and the band decide to drop out on the cusp of major mainstream success...
Gotta respect them for doing it though, they could have made an awful lot more cash. THAT's the spirit of punk. Or summit.
