Go. Second time lucky.
but, i think "the destroyer" by alec empire might be it, and its quite good if you like than kind of thing.
Yeah - anyone know any good Jungle music blogs? I'm after all the classic 90's tracks that I used to have on tapes and vinyl. Or even the name of a decent CD compilation?
This article gives a few good pointers...
Its all about the 93-96 years for me.
Man, a shortlived genre, but some of those records were fucking insanely good.
and suddenly i'm 11 again.
as if was in this long dark tunnel...
Krust, Dillinja, Photek, if you can pick up the Mixmag 'Takeover bid' comp of Mickey Finn and Aphrodite, that's worth having. Wormhole by Ed Rush and Optical is excellent. The Ram trilogy is pretty good.
I don't know anything of the genre after about 1999, I'm afraid.
good Moving Shadow compilation (3, maybe 4 discs, released in 97 I think) that you should try and track down.
the moving shadow compliations are great... i remember picking them up for £1.99 an album!
mickey finn, nikki black market, hype, krust, ganja cru, omni trio. have a look at who played at fabric last friday night - dj hype was there and it was amazing. or check out the next one.
are great, but not what I meant. It's called 'blueprint' and has loads of their earlier releases.
...like eMule and look for mixes by Hi Contrast, Klute, TeeBee, Total Science, Marcus Intalex. This is my kind of DnB; dancefloor orientated and funky, yet complex and miles away from Pendulum cheesiness.
