Best music videos?
DisCuss... Warner Music are trying to sue but on second thoughts, might create some kind of 'deal'... Hmmm... I hope YouTubes purity and vision stays as it was... and is only enhanced if this deal goes through, and not er... raped...
He claimed Warner and a few other big'uns were gonna shut down YouTube
I said it'll never happen because of people power. No-one would dare shut down sure a popular website, everyone would boycott them. They'd be massive movements against them etc.
BUT they might turn all corporate and shit 'cos they make some deal or something.
I have no idea what I'm talking about
This is taken from the mag:
"In a recent announcement, Doug Morris, chief exec of the world's biggest music company, Vivendi's Universal Music Group, spotlighted MySpace and YouTube, labelling the sites owe tens of millions of dollars. It is now rumoured that the company will file a copyright infringement case against the two websites unless agreement is reached by the end of the month."
SO, MY MISTAKE - actually, the article says that instead of trying ot take on colleage kids who are mashing up mixes and it would be difficult to track down, Warner music are trying to make a DEAL with YouTube... Trying to persuade investors that working withteh site would be good for business - Warner will get a cut off any ad revenue deriving fvrom content that includes copyright material, be it official videos or teenagers playing tennis raquets alongside the Chilli Peppers ....
(NOT SURE WHAT THAT TENNIS REF MEANT BUT YOU GET IT)...
"Well, the times, they are a changin'"
(get's out harmonica)
Every successful website has to buy into the corporate bastard way at some point.
Good too see darkpigeon paid no attention to the conversation in this thread...
irrespective of merit
Singing with Muddy Waters at a disused railway station in Manchester in 1964:
Doing what she does best - properly rocking out on a Gibson SG performing 'Up above my head'. Possibly one of the best things I've ever seen:
Another solo version of 'Up above my head':
And finally, the old favourite in case you've missed it before - 'Down by the riverside':
