Top class entertainment: Sonic Youthy guitar and drums like Chloe Smoosh will drum in a couple of years.
i'm glad you like.
i am awaiting the reissue of their first three 7"s on CD somewhat much. originally meant to be out this month, but hasn't been. booooooo.
I like it so much. I've got ADHD on 7", wish I'd got the other stuff.
the sleeve for the first one is sooooo poor, but the vinyl was red & black marbled and is dead sexy. i was going to buy ADHD but then they said they were going to do the CD so i didn't bother. will probably end up buying their 4th one though, which i think is out next month or something.
so I missed it, but I believe that they're returning in to Brum in November with Youthmovies. That's better be true!
26th at Sunflower
30th supporting Metric at Academy 2
glad you liked them.
the more i see them, the more obsessed i'm getting. my last.fm would be embarassing if i had it on all the time.
Totally unpretentious and good songs. The song structures, at times, were reminiscent of some improv I've seen.
and she is SO hot.
She's a very nice, intelligent, talented musician.
if i'd met her i'm sure i'd agree with the nice and intelligent stuff..
As the first band wasn't on until eleven, the answer is yes, and they were good, and gradually sobered up throughout the gig - fine drummer.
but I find them a bit repetetive and overly riff-based.
Perhaps it's just cos everyone plays them tons and tons in the office.
from the, admittedly limited, amount i've heard. Very good but little variation.
are a really good band, great live, really glad it looks like they are going places...but starting to feel like they are getting a bit overrated though. Maybe I feel this in an elitest way since I first saw them at the Windmill in Brixton almost two years ago and have seen them about ten times since. I dunno - good luck to them though.
Still think Projections are better, hoping they're going to regroup sometime soon.
I put them up after their shrewsbury show the night before, really nice people, and a fucking good band.
I hope everyone showed johnny foreigner some support at the birmingham show, i can't wait to see BRS next month.
did you know that?
I am listening to them now
are fucking amazing. Check them out; worried they might fall apart with the success that BRShoes are getting.
In case you haven't heard of them (you probably have), check out Cat on Form - better than BRS and Projections. Only did one album and an EP, but an absolutely phenomenal band.
if you'd like to buy a projections 7", please let me know, i still have some left. they have screen printed sleeves that come in about eight different varieties of colour scheme...
Was that from you?
the band's myspace? if you did, then it isn't, it's from them.
but that's also good, as it means they owe me money :D
are very good !
Hope they'll play here someday !
