really want to hear my father my king again live so you have given me hope.
New Paths to Helicon Part 1?
Glasgow Mega-Snake made me shit myself
At times it was awesome. They filled that huge room with so much noise, I imagined I was in the middle of Blitz, and as then somehow the building remained in tact.
and Zidane song was after Glasgow Mega-Snake!
Mogwai seemed to be totally up for it last night. The song selection was pretty much faultness apart from the slightly iffy Zidane newie that they busted out.
It's a shame they only used Luke Sutherlands violin brilliance during the opener Xmas Steps as well. It could've spiced up one or two of the other songs.
Saying that I totally lost myself in many of the songs. 2 Rights, Fear Satan and Mega Snake sounded totally immense in the vanue. I think the highlight for me though was My Father My King at the end. The sonic terror didnt last as long as maybe it should have (15 mins instead of 23) but it was the most engaging rendition of the song I have ever heard live.
Without a doubt the best performance by Mogwai I have seen in the last 5 years.
that setlist looks amazing
:( Damn my cousin having to do something as inconsiderate as getting married yesterday
After seeing them at the ICA I wasn't sure about seeing them in such a huge venue, but what a great place! I was lucky enough to be in the arena; what was it like to be seated?
